Terms of Service

Effective April 30, 2026

The short version

Maypurl Inc operates a voice AI interview rehearsal service. By signing up or using the site, you agree to these terms. We promise to deliver the service we describe, refund failed sessions, protect your data, and treat you fairly. In return, you agree to use Maypurl honestly, not abuse the platform, and accept that AI scoring is informational. Not a guarantee of any real-world interview outcome.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms govern your use of maypurl.com and the Maypurl Inc service. They form a legal agreement between you and Maypurl Inc ("Maypurl Inc," "Maypurl," "we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a session, or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What we provide

Maypurl is a voice AI interview simulation platform. You purchase a token, configure a session, and conduct a real-time conversation with an AI interviewer. After the session, an AI scoring engine evaluates your transcript and produces dimension-based feedback.

The service is software-as-a-service. We do not provide:

  • Career advice from licensed professionals
  • Guarantees of interview outcomes or job offers
  • Endorsements from any company you might be interviewing with
  • Recordings of your audio (your audio is processed live and not stored on our servers)

3. Your account

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information at signup, keep your password secure, and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

One account per person. You may not share your account with others or run multiple accounts to circumvent token limits or trust signal flags. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that appear to do so.

4. Tokens, payments, and refunds

4.1 How tokens work

  • One token equals one simulation session, regardless of session length up to the 60-minute hard cap.
  • Tokens never expire.
  • Tokens are non-transferable. You cannot give, sell, or trade tokens to others.
  • Pricing is in USD. Conversions to your local currency are handled by Stripe at the exchange rate applicable when you check out.

4.2 Auto-refund policy

We refund a token automatically when:

  • A session ends within 5 minutes of starting (insufficient value delivered)
  • A session is interrupted by a system fault on our side (API failure, dropped connection, server error)

Refund-eligible tokens are credited back to your account within 60 seconds of the session ending. The full refund policy is on the Refunds page.

4.3 Disputes

If you believe you were charged in error, or a session you paid for failed and was not auto-refunded, email support@maypurl.com within 60 days of the charge. We respond within 7 business days.

5. Acceptable use

5.1 You agree to

  • Use Maypurl honestly. Treat sessions like real interviews. Don't read answers from another tab, use AI assistance, or have someone else answer for you. The product cannot help you if you cheat in it.
  • Provide accurate information about your role, experience level, and target company so the calibration is meaningful.
  • Respect the rights of others, including not attempting to access other users' accounts or data.

5.2 You will not

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the service
  • Build a competing product using outputs of Maypurl sessions (the rubric, scoring methodology, and feedback are our intellectual property)
  • Resell access to your account or your purchased tokens
  • Submit content designed to manipulate the AI interviewer or scoring engine into producing harmful, illegal, or biased outputs
  • Use the service to harass, threaten, or defame anyone
  • Submit content you don't have the right to submit (for example, another person's resume without their consent)

5.3 Trust signals and abuse detection

We monitor sessions for behavioural signals associated with abuse (excessive tab switching, typing during voice sessions, microphone swaps mid-session). Sessions that breach our internal thresholds are flagged for review. Flagged sessions are still scored, but they are not eligible for any future leaderboard, share-to-LinkedIn feature, or aggregated benchmarking. We don't accuse users of cheating. We just don't amplify scores we have reason to doubt.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Our IP

The Maypurl service, brand, software, scoring methodology, rubrics, prompts, design, and content are owned by Maypurl Inc. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

6.2 Your content

Content you provide (transcripts, resumes, feedback, dispute submissions) belongs to you. You grant Maypurl Inc a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process this content for the sole purpose of delivering the service to you, scoring your sessions, and improving the product (only when you grant analytics consent for that purpose).

We do not use your content to train Maypurl Inc's AI models without your explicit, separate consent.

6.3 Feedback

If you send us product feedback (bug reports, feature suggestions, criticism), you grant us the right to use that feedback freely without compensation.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but do not promise the service will always be available. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Supabase), and force majeure events may interrupt service. When extended outages occur, we will compensate affected users by crediting tokens or extending session validity, at our reasonable discretion.

8. AI scoring is informational, not predictive

Maypurl scores are AI-generated assessments calibrated to interview-panel expectations. They are informational and educational. They are not:

  • Predictions of how you will perform in any specific real interview
  • Evaluations of your overall ability or worth as a candidate
  • Endorsements or rejections by any employer
  • Substitutes for professional career counseling

Scoring is performed by large language models, which can make mistakes. Every score has a "Dispute" mechanism precisely because we know this. Use Maypurl scores as one signal among many. Not as the final word on your readiness.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maypurl Inc disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100. This cap does not apply where prohibited by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maypurl Inc from any claim arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, your violation of another person's rights, or content you submit.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing support@maypurl.com. Unused tokens are not refundable on voluntary closure (per Section 4) but you may use them before closing.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these terms, particularly Section 5 (Acceptable Use) or attempt to defraud us. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in India. Where Indian law permits, the parties may agree to mediation or arbitration before litigation.

For users in the EU/UK, this jurisdiction clause does not affect your statutory consumer rights under your local laws.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our practices change. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For material changes (anything that meaningfully reduces your rights or increases your obligations), we will email you at the address on file at least 14 days before the change takes effect, and prominently notify you on the site.

If you don't agree to a change, your only remedy is to stop using the service and close your account before the change takes effect.

14. Miscellaneous

These terms are the entire agreement between you and Maypurl Inc regarding the service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets.
